"Finding out I won the contest honestly didn’t feel real at first. It was such an exciting moment, and I couldn’t believe we were getting the chance to travel to Barbados, especially for something as special as the Run Barbados event. The whole trip was amazing from the second we got there. The island is beautiful, the people were so friendly, and everything just had this relaxed, happy vibe. From exploring local spots, relaxing on the beaches, connecting with other runners, and soaking in the atmosphere of the race, the Run Barbados Marathon was incredibly memorable. We got engaged during one of our evening walks along the Richard Haynes Boardwalk, and it was honestly the most perfect moment. Running the half marathon together just a couple of days later was really special and was the best way to kick off this new chapter of our lives. We truly can’t thank Barbados Tourism enough for the experience, allowing us to make memories to last a lifetime. Barbados now holds such a special place in our hearts, and I'm forever grateful for this amazing opportunity!"
