Our Commitment to Sustainability
Since its inception, the Blue Nose Marathon has been committed to reducing its environmental impact and fostering a more sustainable future. Sustainability is one of our core values:

Leading the Way in Responsible Sport
Award-Winning Sustainability — In 2018, the Blue Nose Marathon was named the Sustainable Sport Event of the Year by the Canadian Sport Tourism Association.
Gold-Level Certification — In 2023, we became the first sporting event in Atlantic Canada to earn Gold certification from the Council for Responsible Sport for our sustainability efforts.
Evergreen-Level Certification — In 2024, we achieved Evergreen Level Responsible Sport Certification, the highest level of recognition in the world’s leading responsible sport program.
