Doctors Nova Scotia
Doctors Nova Scotia is proud to be the official race sponsor of the Youth Run for the 10th consecutive year. They are passionate about improving patient care and helping Nova Scotians live healthy and active lives. Its award-winning Kids’ Run Club is a great example of its commitment to helping Nova Scotians live healthy. In fact, many of Myles’ young runners begin training for the Youth Run through the Doctors Nova Scotia Kids’ Run Club. This free, school-based running program educates children about the importance of leading a physically active and healthy life while giving them an opportunity to be active through running.
Doctors across the province congratulate all of the Youth Run participants and their families on their commitment to living an active life! We can’t wait to see you all at the finish line!
Doctors Nova Scotia and Blue Nose recognize the importance of removing financial barriers that prevent children from participating in the Youth Run. We are delighted Cabco Communications Group has made a commitment to support families through the Cabco Helping Kids Get to the Line Program, providing up to 150 free registration spots for the Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run. The scholarship program will be coordinated through the Doctors Nova Scotia Kids’ Run Club.
The Youth Run is a non-timed, participatory event that allows for the participation of adults with strollers/baby joggers. However, for safety reasons, these participants must position themselves at the back of the pack. Adults who accompany their young runners on course are not required to register for the youth run.
Once again, personalized bibs are available for the Youth Run. By registering prior to May 1, 2013 your FIRST name will appear on your bib! All participants, regardless of registration date, receive a race bib. And of course, your race kit also contains 4 safety pins for ease of attachment of your bib.
NEW FOR 2013 – you’re invited to mark your Bib with the number of years you’ve been a Blue Nose participant!
It’s back and more popular than ever. Last year we had 400 entries on Facebook and Lesley Murphy’s slogan “This Run Never Gets Old” was selected and worn by almost 4,000 kids in the Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run. Stay tuned for the announcement of this year’s contest.
