Brain Injury Nova Scotia is the only organized voice for tens of thousands of Nova Scotians affected by brain injury. Direction 180

Direction 180 is a community-based methadone clinic located in the North End of Halifax. Based on a harm-reduction model, they offer treatment regardless of whether a client discontinues the use of opioids or other drugs. This approach reduces the harmful consequences of drug use.

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission

Souls Harbour Rescue Mission is in it’s 6th year of service to the needy. They have a drop in centre in Halifax, and a brand new satellite in Bridgewater. Combined, They serve up to 220 meals a day to men, women and children living in poverty. Special Olympics offers programs in 15 Regions across NS. With over 1500 athletes, they have programs for children aged 2 and up including new programs within high schools.
