Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon is pleased to offer the following services during the event. For further information on these or and other services, please email staff@bluenosemarathon.com SPECIAL NOTICE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS....access to the floor of HMC on Saturday May 22 and Sunday May 23 is through the north side off Duke Street, Please use the large 'bus' door at that location, thereby leaving the south entrance off Carmichael Street for use by the participants. Pre-Race Mixer + Bag Storage: Participant Bag Storage is available inside the Metro Centre on Sunday May 23. Please bring ONLY ONE bag for storage as space is limited. Chip Timing: In partnership with SPORTSTATS, Canada's leading race chip timing company, computerized race chips are used to record final times. Your chip will be provided inside your race kit which MUST be picked up at the WTCC during EXPO hours on Friday May 21 and Saturday May 22. Don't forget to activate your chip before leaving EXPO. Throughout the race, your chip must be securely attached to your shoe at all times. Volunteers will be at the finish line to assist with the removal of your chip immediately following the race. All chips not returned are the responsibility of the runner. A $40.00 charge will be administered for unreturned chips. Personalized Bibs: Once again, personalized runner bibs are available. If you've registered prior to May 1, 2010 your FIRST name will appear on the runner bib! All participants, regardless of registration date, receive a race bib. And of course, your race kit also contains 4 safety pins for ease of attachment of your bib. WE ASK THAT THE BIB BE WORN PROMINENTLY ON YOUR CHEST ON THE OUTSIDE OF ANY CLOTHING TO ASSIST COURSE MARSHALLS AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS. Active Living EXPO OptiMYz Stage Finish Line "Space" Blankets These funky, mylar blankets are a traditional feature at marathons and are available for all participants on Sunday May 23 in the post finish line area on Brunswick Street. Finish Line Photography: Smile! While you're going through the Finish Line, we'll be capturing that very special moment. Thanks to Marathon-Photos.com, you can have a lifetime momento of your 'race to the finish'. Decompress, celebrate, connect with family and friends...hang out and catch up on hydration and carbs. These are all reasons you've gotta include a stop on the floor of Halifax Metro Centre on Sunday May 23 after you've finished your race. Race Time Results: Following the event, race results will be immediately posted inside Halifax Metro Centre, located on the glass partitions. Additionally, results are posted on our web site and the sportstats.ca web site. Make sure you pick up the Chronicle Herald on Monday May 24 and follow all the race stories, including all the race times, in their special 8 page supplement. Massage and Physio services: Make sure to plan for a post-race massage! Lifemark is pleased to partner with Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon to offer massage and physio services to participants.
