Street Closures - Approximate Timings

On Saturday, May 17 and Sunday May 18, Blue Nosers will hit the streets of Halifax for the fifth annual Blue Nose Marathon. As a result, the traffic impacts are expected in the following areas.

Saturday, May 17, 2008

Brunswick Street?between Duke Street and Sackville Street?will be also be closed on from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to accommodate the Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run.

Sunday, May 18, 2008

Brunswick Street - between Duke Street and Sackville Street - will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Five Corners intersection (west of Citadel High) will be closed and continue along North Park Street and Agrigola Street to Bloomfield Street from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Macdonald Bridge will be closed to traffic between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. while runners cross the bridge.

Side streets in these areas will be subject to controlled access and traffic delays should be expected in Halifax and Dartmouth. See below for an overview of impacted areas.

Traffic along the route will be managed by Halifax Regional Police (HRP) as runners and walkers progress through the course. To make the event a success for everyone involved, please drive with extra caution and follow the instructions of Police along the route.
