Mic Mac Mall and Blue Nose recognize the importance of removing barriers that prevent individuals from participating in the 5KM Run. We are delighted Mic Mac Mall has made a commitment to support the community through the 5KM Bursary Program, providing up to 160 free registration spots for the Johnson Insurance 5KM Run. We asked for your best clever or witty slogan for the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon 2015 Youth Shirt and Event Shirt, and you really delivered. We were overwhelmed by the response, and your creativity, which made picking the winners quite challenging.
Our congratulations to Cheryl Osmond for submitting the winning slogan entry ‘You Nose You Can’. We liked it so much we are featuring it on the both the Event and Youth Shirt!
100,000 Registrations in 12 Years!
Blue Nose recently celebrated 100,000 registrations since 2004. The winner of the contest for the 100,000th registrant is Logan Murray of Bedford who is running the 10 KM this year. Congrats Logan!

T-shirt slogan contest is back! Send us your best clever, witty or funny slogan for the 2015 Youth Shirt and one for the Event Shirt (to be worn by registrants in the 5KM, 10KM, Half marathon, Marathon Team Relay and Full marathon races). 10KM, relay and marathoner runners don’t need to be concerned about route changes in 2015! The Big Lift won’t affect participants on race weekend. Mcdonald Bridge will remain open Sunday, May 17th for Blue Nosers to Giv’er!

Due to the winter storm, the Blue Nose Icebreaker skating event scheduled for today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Emera Oval in Halifax has been cancelled. The Icebreaker will be rescheduled in the near future, so check back on the Blue Nose website for more details. www.bluenosemarathon.com
